# BG Experience™ vs Car Specs

The clearest difference is rating: BG Experience™ at 4.4 against Car Specs's 2.3. BG Experience™ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 10 months). Car Specs's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BG Experience™ holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BG Experience™ has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of BG Experience™'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Car Specs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BG Experience™ ships an update every 3 months, Car Specs every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
