# PROTO Smart Tools vs Workards

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PROTO Smart Tools at 50% against Workards's 0%. PROTO Smart Tools also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Workards's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Workards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PROTO Smart Tools has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of PROTO Smart Tools's written reviews are positive against 0% of Workards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PROTO Smart Tools ships an update every 2 months, Workards fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
