# Xtars vs toki

The clearest difference is rating: toki at 3.7 against Xtars's 2.3. toki also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Xtars's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 38%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Xtars sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and toki sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

toki holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Xtars's written reviews are positive against 38% of toki's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Xtars ships an update every 3 weeks, toki every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
