# ethrai vs Maharat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Maharat at 97% against ethrai's 40%. Maharat also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). ethrai's advantage is ratings volume (285 vs 21) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ethrai sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Maharat sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Maharat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ethrai has 285 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of ethrai's written reviews are positive against 97% of Maharat's.

ethrai ships an update every 2 months, Maharat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
