# Wire vs Tidings

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Tidings at 18.0 against Wire's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wire sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Tidings sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
