# 1 vs Dots

The clearest difference is rating: 1 at 4.8 against Dots's 4.0. 1 also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Dots's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 1 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dots asks for nothing beyond the download.

1 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1 has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
