# EO Recipes vs Opterra

The clearest difference is rating: Opterra at 5.0 against EO Recipes's 1.0. Opterra also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). EO Recipes's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EO Recipes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per year and Opterra sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Opterra holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Opterra has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EO Recipes ships an update weekly, Opterra every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
