# Math Kangaroo vs Think Academy Student

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Think Academy Student at 68% against Math Kangaroo's 0%. Think Academy Student also leads on ratings volume (301 vs 48). Math Kangaroo's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Kangaroo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Think Academy Student sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math Kangaroo holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Think Academy Student has 301 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Math Kangaroo's written reviews are positive against 68% of Think Academy Student's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Math Kangaroo ships an update daily, Think Academy Student every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
