# NewUs vs Aqua

The clearest difference is rating: NewUs at 4.0 against Aqua's 2.8. NewUs also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months). Aqua's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 0%) and ratings volume (74 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NewUs holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aqua has 74 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of NewUs's written reviews are positive against 30% of Aqua's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NewUs ships an update every 6 days, Aqua every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
