# Mad For Dance vs Flex Dance

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flex Dance at none against Mad For Dance's 11. Flex Dance also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 78%). Mad For Dance's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 34 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mad For Dance sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Flex Dance asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mad For Dance holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mad For Dance has 12K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Mad For Dance's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flex Dance's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mad For Dance ships an update fortnightly, Flex Dance every 34 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
