# FastMath vs Photo Math Solver

FastMath and Photo Math Solver both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of Photo Math Solver's written reviews are positive against 17% of FastMath's. Photo Math Solver also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). FastMath's advantage is ratings volume (51K vs 255) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastMath sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Photo Math Solver sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for FastMath against 4.3 for Photo Math Solver. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastMath has 51K ratings behind it against 255, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of FastMath's written reviews are positive against 74% of Photo Math Solver's.

FastMath ships an update every 5 days, Photo Math Solver every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
