# FastMath vs MathSnap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MathSnap at 70% against FastMath's 17%. MathSnap also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). FastMath's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (51K vs 1.4K). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastMath sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and MathSnap sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MathSnap holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastMath has 51K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of FastMath's written reviews are positive against 70% of MathSnap's.

FastMath ships an update every 5 days, MathSnap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
