# FastMath vs Homework Helper

FastMath and Homework Helper both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Homework Helper's written reviews are positive against 17% of FastMath's. Homework Helper also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). FastMath's advantage is ratings volume (51K vs 119) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastMath sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Homework Helper sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for FastMath against 4.3 for Homework Helper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastMath has 51K ratings behind it against 119, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of FastMath's written reviews are positive against 83% of Homework Helper's.

FastMath ships an update every 5 days, Homework Helper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
