# FastMath vs Homework Genie

The clearest difference is rating: Homework Genie at 5.0 against FastMath's 4.2. Homework Genie also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). FastMath's advantage is ratings volume (51K vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastMath sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Homework Genie sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homework Genie holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastMath has 51K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
