# FastMath vs Algebra Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Algebra Calculator at 4.8 against FastMath's 4.2. Algebra Calculator also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). FastMath's advantage is ratings volume (51K vs 5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FastMath sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Algebra Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Algebra Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastMath has 51K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FastMath ships an update every 5 days, Algebra Calculator every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
