# Map for SCUM vs Last Extract

The clearest difference is rating: Last Extract at 4.5 against Map for SCUM's 3.2. Last Extract also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (9.2K vs 38). Map for SCUM's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (41% vs 24%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Map for SCUM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Last Extract sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Last Extract holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Last Extract has 9.2K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Map for SCUM's written reviews are positive against 24% of Last Extract's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Map for SCUM ships an update every 2 months, Last Extract every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
