# NuWave vs AARP Streams

The clearest difference is rating: NuWave at 3.1 against AARP Streams's 2.3. NuWave also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NuWave holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of NuWave's written reviews are positive against 18% of AARP Streams's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
