# Pixel Shape vs Are

The clearest difference is ads: Are at none against Pixel Shape's shown. Pixel Shape's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Shape sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Are sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixel Shape ships an update every 2 weeks, Are every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
