# Melo vs Dash Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dash Notes at every 2 days against Melo's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dash Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Melo ships an update every 3 months, Dash Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
