# ScoreSkills vs Learn Music Notes

The clearest difference is rating: ScoreSkills at 4.6 against Learn Music Notes's 3.7. ScoreSkills also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 48 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 3). Learn Music Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScoreSkills sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Learn Music Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScoreSkills holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScoreSkills has 2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 60% and 60% positive.

ScoreSkills ships an update fortnightly, Learn Music Notes every 48 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
