# Backgammon Legends vs TopTop

The clearest difference is ads: TopTop at none against Backgammon Legends's shown. TopTop also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (29% vs 17%). Backgammon Legends's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (45K vs 996). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Legends sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and TopTop sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Legends holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Legends has 45K ratings behind it against 996, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Backgammon Legends's written reviews are positive against 29% of TopTop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Legends ships an update every 2 months, TopTop weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
