# Shrines Guide vs PLA Companion

The clearest difference is ads: Shrines Guide at none against PLA Companion's shown. Shrines Guide also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 191). PLA Companion's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (89% vs 73%). Both are free to download. Shrines Guide sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and PLA Companion sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PLA Companion holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6.
