# Shrines Guide vs Perkeo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Perkeo at none against Shrines Guide's 6. Perkeo also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 73%). Shrines Guide's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 10) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shrines Guide sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. Perkeo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shrines Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shrines Guide has 3.3K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Shrines Guide's written reviews are positive against 83% of Perkeo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shrines Guide ships an update every 3 weeks, Perkeo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
