# Zig Zag Runner vs Square Rush

The clearest difference is update cadence: Zig Zag Runner at every 2 months against Square Rush's every 19 months. Zig Zag Runner also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zig Zag Runner sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Square Rush sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zig Zag Runner ships an update every 2 months, Square Rush every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
