# Moonwalk vs StarCat

The clearest difference is price: Moonwalk at Free against StarCat's $1.99. Moonwalk also leads on rating (4.6 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). StarCat's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months) and chart position (#107 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Moonwalk is free to download; StarCat costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Moonwalk holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moonwalk has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Moonwalk ships an update every 5 months, StarCat every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
