# Firevault vs Highlights

The clearest difference is ads: Highlights at none against Firevault's shown. Firevault's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Firevault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Highlights sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Firevault ships an update every 2 weeks, Highlights every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
