# Tastea vs ThirsTea

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ThirsTea at 100% against Tastea's 18%. ThirsTea also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). Tastea's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tastea holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tastea has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Tastea's written reviews are positive against 100% of ThirsTea's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tastea ships an update every 8 months, ThirsTea fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
