# Plates vs Erixie

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Plates at 41 against Erixie's 2. Erixie's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Erixie holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plates has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Plates's written reviews are positive against 100% of Erixie's.

Plates ships an update monthly, Erixie every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
