# EDEN Water Timer vs AcuRite NOW

The clearest difference is rating: EDEN Water Timer at 1.7 against AcuRite NOW's 1.1. AcuRite NOW's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 25). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EDEN Water Timer holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AcuRite NOW has 1.1K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of EDEN Water Timer's written reviews are positive against 2% of AcuRite NOW's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EDEN Water Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, AcuRite NOW every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
