# SMOU vs SPRO

The clearest difference is rating: SPRO at 5.0 against SMOU's 4.3. SPRO also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). SMOU's advantage is ratings volume (720 vs 6) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPRO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMOU has 720 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 4% of SMOU's written reviews are positive against 8% of SPRO's.

SMOU ships an update every 6 weeks, SPRO every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
