# Vaia vs Chomp

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chomp at none against Vaia's 17. Chomp also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 81%). Vaia's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 41 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vaia sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Chomp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chomp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vaia has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Vaia's written reviews are positive against 100% of Chomp's.
