# Vaia vs BrainDeck

Vaia and BrainDeck both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Vaia's written reviews are positive against 70% of BrainDeck's. Vaia also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 246). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vaia sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BrainDeck sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Vaia against 4.7 for BrainDeck. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vaia has 1.6K ratings behind it against 246, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Vaia's written reviews are positive against 70% of BrainDeck's.

Vaia ships an update weekly, BrainDeck every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
