# Matific vs AR Sketch

Matific and AR Sketch both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of AR Sketch's written reviews are positive against 60% of Matific's. AR Sketch also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Matific's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 8). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matific sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and AR Sketch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Matific holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matific has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Matific's written reviews are positive against 100% of AR Sketch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Matific ships an update every 6 weeks, AR Sketch weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
