# Penetrator vs Elevator Sorting

The clearest difference is rating: Elevator Sorting at 4.6 against Penetrator's 3.7. Elevator Sorting also leads on ratings volume (16K vs 9). Penetrator's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Penetrator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Elevator Sorting sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elevator Sorting holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elevator Sorting has 16K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Penetrator's written reviews are positive against 32% of Elevator Sorting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Penetrator ships an update every 3 weeks, Elevator Sorting every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
