# Dott vs Chiamabus

The clearest difference is ads: Chiamabus at none against Dott's shown. Chiamabus also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Dott's advantage is ratings volume (9.3K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chiamabus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dott has 9.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dott ships an update weekly, Chiamabus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
