# Dott vs chuuchuu

Dott and chuuchuu both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of chuuchuu's written reviews are positive against 30% of Dott's. chuuchuu also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Dott's advantage is ratings volume (9.4K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

chuuchuu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dott has 9.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of Dott's written reviews are positive against 100% of chuuchuu's.

Dott ships an update weekly, chuuchuu every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
