# HeatNext vs MySecretMessage

The clearest difference is update cadence: MySecretMessage at every 4 days against HeatNext's every 2 months. MySecretMessage also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HeatNext sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $22.90 per year and MySecretMessage sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HeatNext ships an update every 2 months, MySecretMessage every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
