# Degrees Calc vs Brick

The clearest difference is rating: Degrees Calc at 5.0 against Brick's 3.2. Brick's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Degrees Calc holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brick has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Degrees Calc ships an update monthly, Brick every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
