# OMB vs TriplePlay Connect

The clearest difference is rating: TriplePlay Connect at 4.2 against OMB's 3.6. TriplePlay Connect also leads on ratings volume (239 vs 18). OMB's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TriplePlay Connect sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. OMB asks for nothing beyond the download.

TriplePlay Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TriplePlay Connect has 239 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of OMB's written reviews are positive against 30% of TriplePlay Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OMB ships an update every 6 days, TriplePlay Connect every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
