# Blue Bottle Coffee vs Chef Mate+

Blue Bottle Coffee and Chef Mate+ both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Chef Mate+'s written reviews are positive against 25% of Blue Bottle Coffee's. Chef Mate+ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 1). Blue Bottle Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (9.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.2). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chef Mate+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8.
