# iStar vs ToonStellar

The clearest difference is update cadence: ToonStellar at every 3 days against iStar's monthly. iStar's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iStar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ToonStellar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iStar ships an update monthly, ToonStellar every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
