# Afloat vs ZEN+

The clearest difference is update cadence: ZEN+ at every 5 months against Afloat's every 11 months. Afloat's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Afloat ships an update every 11 months, ZEN+ every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
