# GX vs RC FPV

The clearest difference is rating: GX at 3.7 against RC FPV's 2.4. GX also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). RC FPV's advantage is ratings volume (501 vs 3) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GX holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC FPV has 501 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of GX's written reviews are positive against 18% of RC FPV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GX ships an update every 2 months, RC FPV every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
