# Chichen Itza vs Tren Maya

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chichen Itza at 58% against Tren Maya's 33%. Chichen Itza also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). Tren Maya's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chichen Itza sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year and Tren Maya sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chichen Itza ships an update every 4 months, Tren Maya every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
