# Protege Config vs WatchNET

The clearest difference is update cadence: Protege Config at every 12 months against WatchNET's every 51 months. WatchNET's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Protege Config ships an update every 12 months, WatchNET every 51 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
