# IFSTA Essentials 7 vs EMCE

The clearest difference is rating: IFSTA Essentials 7 at 4.6 against EMCE's 2.7. IFSTA Essentials 7 also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 50) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). EMCE's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (43% vs 30%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFSTA Essentials 7 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. EMCE asks for nothing beyond the download.

IFSTA Essentials 7 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFSTA Essentials 7 has 1.8K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of IFSTA Essentials 7's written reviews are positive against 43% of EMCE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IFSTA Essentials 7 ships an update monthly, EMCE every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
