# IFSTA Essentials 7 vs FirePumpSim

The clearest difference is rating: FirePumpSim at 5.0 against IFSTA Essentials 7's 4.6. FirePumpSim also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). IFSTA Essentials 7's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFSTA Essentials 7 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and FirePumpSim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FirePumpSim holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFSTA Essentials 7 has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IFSTA Essentials 7 ships an update monthly, FirePumpSim weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
