# SHIFTAR vs Shiftool

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shiftool at every 2 weeks against SHIFTAR's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHIFTAR sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Shiftool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
