# Cosmic Frontline AR vs Matter AR

The clearest difference is rating: Cosmic Frontline AR at 4.5 against Matter AR's 3.8. Cosmic Frontline AR also leads on ratings volume (232 vs 8) and device support (3 vs 1). Matter AR's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cosmic Frontline AR holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cosmic Frontline AR has 232 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Cosmic Frontline AR's written reviews are positive against 100% of Matter AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cosmic Frontline AR ships an update every 5 months, Matter AR monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
