# BPS Focus vs Ray

The clearest difference is rating: Ray at 5.0 against BPS Focus's 1.7. BPS Focus's advantage is ratings volume (262 vs 2) and update cadence (every 8 months vs every 26 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ray holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BPS Focus has 262 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BPS Focus ships an update every 8 months, Ray every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
